Solve the Right Problems. Create Lasting Value.

I help founder-led B2B companies improve profitability, revenue consistency, and organizational performance by identifying underlying problems and implementing practical solutions.

Do Any of These Challenges Sound Familiar?

Profitability

“We’re growing revenue, so why are our profit margins shrinking?”

Revenue Consistency

“Why do our sales keep falling short of our forecasts?”

Leadership

“Why am I still making decisions I thought I had delegated?”

Organizational Performance

“Why does it take us so much longer to get things done than it used to”?

What If You’re Solving the Wrong Problem?

Declining margins, inconsistent sales, overwhelmed managers, and slower execution may be symptoms of underlying problems that aren't immediately obvious.

Before recommending solutions, I work to understand what's actually happening, why it's happening, and the economic Value of addressing it.

The goal isn't simply to solve a problem. It's to solve the right problem.

Industrial Technology Experience. Business Growth Perspective.

I spent nearly three decades with RJG, a manufacturing technology company, including 25 years in commercial leadership and more than a decade as its largest minority shareholder.

During my tenure, RJG grew from less than $1 million to over $30 million in annual revenue, from 13 to more than 150 employees, and from one U.S. office to operations in seven countries.

That experience gave me both an executive's and an owner's perspective on the challenges of growth—and reinforced the importance of commercial performance, capable leadership, and organizational discipline in creating lasting Value.

Understand the Problem. Determine the Value. Implement the Solution.

3. Findings & Recommendations

A written report outlining findings, recommended solutions, and priorities. The assessment stands on its own, with no obligation to pursue an ongoing engagement.

2. Business Assessment

A structured evaluation to identify underlying problems, understand their economic significance, and determine where improvements could create the greatest Value.

1. Discovery Conversation

A 30-minute conversation to understand your business, the challenges you're experiencing, and whether working together makes sense.

4. Fractional Engagement

When appropriate, I work alongside the owner and leadership team to implement agreed priorities, strengthen organizational capabilities, and evaluate progress against mutually agreed measures.

The Intended Outcome

A stronger, more capable business that continues creating Value long after the engagement has ended.

Creating Value. Building Capability.

I believe lasting business performance comes from creating Value for both the organization and the people who make it successful.

My approach combines economic discipline with leadership development. I work alongside owners and managers to understand their challenges, question assumptions, and develop practical solutions.

That requires respecting what people have accomplished while being willing to challenge what may need to change.

Success isn't measured only by what improves while I'm involved, but by what the organization is capable of sustaining after I've left.

Insights and Resources

A Discount Is Like Time. Once You Give It Away, You Don't Get It Back.

The true cost of discounting extends beyond the immediate sale. Small concessions can accumulate into significant lost profitability while establishing customer expectations that are difficult to reverse.

The Problem You See May Not Be the Problem You Need to Solve.

Declining sales, shrinking margins, and inconsistent execution may be symptoms of deeper organizational problems. Identifying the underlying causes before implementing solutions is often where the greatest opportunity for Value creation begins.

“I Hired Good People. Why Am I Still Involved in Everything?”

When capable managers continually bring decisions back to the owner, the problem may not be their willingness to take responsibility. Leadership behaviors can unintentionally create dependence. Developing judgment, confidence, and ownership builds a stronger organization—and frees the founder to focus on leading the business.
