Fractional Executive Leadership & Business Advisory Services

I work with owners of founder-led B2B companies, particularly manufacturing technology and specialized industrial businesses, to improve profitability, revenue consistency, and organizational performance.

The challenges affecting those results aren't always isolated to sales, leadership, or operations. They often cross organizational boundaries, requiring a broader understanding of the business before the right solutions become clear.

Through fractional executive leadership and business advisory engagements, I help identify underlying problems, establish priorities, and work alongside owners and leadership teams to implement practical improvements that create measurable Value.

Commercial Performance

Revenue growth doesn't always translate into improved profitability. Inconsistent sales results, unreliable forecasts, excessive discounting, and poorly qualified opportunities can consume resources while limiting financial performance.

I help owners and commercial leaders understand what's driving these results. That may involve evaluating sales processes, pipeline quality, account planning, pricing discipline, customer profitability, and how effectively the organization communicates and captures the Value it creates.

The objective is to build a more disciplined commercial organization—one that pursues the right opportunities, makes better decisions about pricing and resource allocation, and produces more predictable, profitable revenue.

The intended outcome: Improved revenue consistency, stronger margins, and greater confidence in commercial decision-making.

Leadership & Team Development

As businesses grow, owners often find themselves increasingly involved in decisions they expected their managers to handle. Responsibilities may have been delegated, but accountability, decision-making authority, and leadership capabilities haven't always developed at the same pace.

I work alongside owners and managers to identify what's limiting leadership effectiveness. That may involve clarifying responsibilities and expectations, improving communication and accountability, coaching managers through difficult decisions, and helping teams develop the confidence and judgment to take greater ownership of results.

The objective isn't simply to reduce the owner's workload. It's to build capable leaders and effective teams that can make sound decisions, solve problems, and execute consistently without unnecessary dependence on the founder.

The intended outcome: Stronger leadership capability, greater accountability, more effective teams, and increased capacity for the owner to focus on leading the business.

Organizational Discipline & Execution

As businesses grow, the systems and practices that supported earlier success may no longer be sufficient. Priorities compete for attention, responsibilities become unclear, decisions take longer, and execution becomes increasingly dependent on the owner or a few key individuals.

I help owners and leadership teams identify the organizational constraints affecting performance. That may involve clarifying roles and accountability, establishing priorities, improving management processes, strengthening communication, and creating a consistent rhythm for reviewing progress and resolving issues.

The objective is to develop an organization that can translate priorities into action, make decisions at the appropriate level, and execute consistently as the business grows.

The intended outcome: Clearer accountability, more consistent execution, improved organizational efficiency, and a business better equipped to grow without increasing dependence on its owner.

Every business is different, and an ongoing fractional engagement isn't always the right starting point. My process begins with understanding your challenges, identifying where improvements could create meaningful economic Value, and determining the appropriate next steps together.

How We Begin Working Together

1. Discovery Conversation

We begin with a 30-minute conversation about your business, the challenges you're experiencing, and what you'd like to improve. Together, we'll determine whether a more detailed assessment makes sense.

2. Business Assessment

A paid, structured evaluation of your business to identify underlying problems and opportunities for improvement. Depending on the scope, this may include confidential conversations with key managers, a review of business processes and performance, and an evaluation of the economic Value of potential improvements.

3. Findings & Recommendations

You'll receive a written report outlining the assessment findings, underlying problems, recommended improvements, and priorities for action. We'll review the results together, including the potential economic Value of addressing the identified issues.

The assessment stands on its own, with no obligation to pursue an ongoing engagement.

4. Fractional Engagement

When an ongoing engagement makes sense, I work alongside the owner and leadership team to implement agreed priorities, strengthen organizational capabilities, and measure progress against mutually agreed objectives.

The scope, responsibilities, and time commitment are established together based on the needs of the business.

Whether your challenges involve inconsistent revenue, declining profitability, leadership effectiveness, or organizational execution, the first step is understanding what's really happening and where improvements could create the greatest Value.

Let's begin with a conversation about your business and what you'd like to accomplish.
